Start playing

1. Open StickSignal on your iPad.
2. Choose the two-pad EarDrum or six-pad GM layout.
3. Enable Local Audio to hear the selected acoustic kit.
4. Select a MIDI destination only if you want external output.

Choose a MIDI destination

Auto-select follows an available CoreMIDI destination. Pick a specific Bluetooth, USB, or app destination when you want to send to it. Choose Disabled for intentionally silent MIDI output.

Unlock performance controls

Performance Lock prevents accidental edits. Press and hold the lock control for 1.5 seconds, then confirm. The drum surface remains playable while controls are locked.

Local sound is missing

• Confirm Local Audio is enabled.
• Use Test Local Sound to check the selected kit.
• Check whether output is set to iPad Speaker or System Output.
• Verify the iPad volume and connected audio hardware.
